My Service
Your driving record is important, because of this there are a number of reasons why to use my service. Not only do I have the technical expertise, experience and negotiation ability to get you the best possible outcome, but when dealing with your driving record consider the following:
1) Protect Your Clean Driving Record
You have just received your 1st ticket. You have been driving for a number of years with a clean driving record and are just going to pay it as you think it will never happen again. What you are missing is the fact that when explained in the proper fashion your current clean driving record can help you. If I can’t get the ticket dropped on a technical basis, a clear driving record affords me the best opportunity to keep the demerits off your license or obtain you a lower fine. Once you plead guilty and the ticket goes on your record, if for some unfortunate reason you get a second ticket then you are considered a “repeat offender” and as such you are less likely to get consideration than when your driving record was clean.
2) Avoid Costs To You
When you are convicted of a traffic ticket from the police it can cost you in the following manner:
- Demerits on your drivers license. This gives you a lower driver license point rating and could effect you being eligible for a discount on your drivers license.
- Higher insurance costs. MPI offers a maximum of a 33% discount on your insurance for good drivers. Bad driving means you are a risk and reduces your chance to be eligible for these savings. Every time you get a ticket from the police it may lower your merit rating. Therefore it may cost you more for your insurance every year.
- Fines. The cost of fines for traffic offenses continues to increase year over year. You are paying these fines with your hard earned “after tax” dollars. Why not try to save where you can?
- Motor vehicle collisions. Most people do not know that MVC’s are now 5 demerits against your license. As I cannot represent people in responsibility disputes with MPI over accidents, it is therefore even more important to avoid demerits whenever possible from traffic tickets to protect yourself.
3) Potential Drivers License Suspension
So not only can you pay high fines for tickets, and end up paying more for your vehicle insurance, but because you have had a few tickets and/or accidents now mpi reviews your driving record resulting in wanting to: suspend your drivers license.
Think about life without your drivers license!
How would you work?
Imagine the difficulty you would have trying to get to work? What if you work odd hours or out of town when the buses aren’t running? What if you needed your vehicle as part of your work because you are a Real Estate Agent, Professional Driver (Taxi, Delivery, or Courier), Insurance, Mortgage Broker? Or how about a trades-person: Electrician, Plumber, Roofer, Cleaning Person, Home Builder; how would you transport all of your tools? Having no drivers license due to a poor driving record can directly affects your ability to earn an income.
What about your family?
How about the difficulty in taking your children to school, music lessons, sporting activities, going grocery shopping, or caring for elderly parents A certain combination of Driving Offenses, Collisions and/or both and MPI will review your driving record, call you in to for a suspension hearing and look to suspend your drivers license.
CASE IN POINT
After 27 years of having a clear driving record, a fellow got a traffic ticket in 2009. He was embarrassed and thought it would never happen again so he simply paid it. He then got in a Collision in 2010 on a slippery road which only involved his own vehicle. After that he then got a ticket for 66kmph in a 50 zone in 2011. MPI reviewed his driving record for the past years and suspended his drivers license for 3 months. It was at that point he contacted me to appeal the suspension. I was able to help him get a work permit so he could still drive. His biggest regret in the whole ordeal was that he wished he had contacted me when he got that 1st and 2nd ticket!
